FDA: Avoid Combining Clopidogrel and Omeprazole

The Food and Drug Administration recommends that patients not take clopidogrel and omeprazole together on the basis of new data submitted to the agency indicating that the effectiveness of the antiplatelet drug is reduced when taken with the proton pump inhibitor, according to a public health advisory issued by the agency.
