Salsalate Being Studied as Treatment for Type 2 Diabetes

NEW ORLEANS — The safety and efficacy of salsalate, a dimer of salicylic acid, is under investigation to evaluate its use as an inexpensive therapeutic agent for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
