Childhood NAFLD May Raise Mortality Risk

SAN FRANCISCO — Children with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease have 14 times the risk of dying or requiring a liver transplant, compared children with normal livers, according to a retrospective, longitudinal, hospital-based cohort study.
