Basal Insulin Appears Best for Cutting Hypoglycemia in Type 2

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND — Findings from a substudy of the Treating to Target in Type 2 Diabetes (4T) study appear to confirm the main results obtained so far: Basal insulin could be the best means of avoiding hypoglycemia in patients with type 2 diabetes who are poorly controlled by oral antidiabetic agents.
