Vitamin D Supplements: How Much Is Enough? Vitamin D's benefits are evident, but more studies are necessary to determine the right dosages.

BETHESDA, MD. — Current evidence is insufficient to make specific recommendations for vitamin D supplementation, and future studies must determine how much is enough to achieve meaningful clinical outcomes—especially in infants, children, adolescents, and different ethnic groups, according to the results from a report presented at a September conference on vitamin D sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.
