FDA Expands Exenatide Approval to Include TZD Users

The Food and Drug Administration has expanded the indication for exenatide, approving the incretin mimetic as adjunctive therapy for people with type 2 diabetes who are using a thiazolidinedione alone or with metformin but have not achieved adequate glycemic control.
