Type 2 Diabetes Linked to Risk of Colorectal Adenomas in Women

LOS ANGELES — Postmenopausal women who have type 2 diabetes mellitus and are not taking hormone therapy are at increased risk for colorectal adenomas and advanced adenomas compared with women without diabetes, Dr. Jill E. Elwing said in a study presented at the annual Digestive Disease Week.
